• WWE Is Saving a Huge Roman Reigns Match for a Major Event

At SummerSlam 2025, Roman Reigns teamed up with Jey Uso to defeat Bronson Reed and Bron Breakker of The Vision. On this week’s RAW, The Vision brutally assaulted Reigns, with Reed stealing Roman’s sneakers again.

According to WrestleVotes, Roman is scheduled to have a match at the Clash In Paris PLE on August 31. However, it won’t be a match against Seth Rollins for the World Heavyweight Championship, as that’s being saved for a big future PLE.

As seen on WWE Unreal, Roman Reigns vs. Seth Rollins in a singles match was WWE’s original plan for WrestleMania 41. It’s possible that WWE goes ahead with this match at WrestleMania 42, which will also take place at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas.

• Major Update on Whether WWE Plans to Turn Cody Rhodes Heel

Despite speculation among fans, it looks like Cody Rhodes won’t be making a heel turn anytime in the near future. According to WrestleVotes, WWE currently has no plans on the table to shift Rhodes’ character away from his current babyface role. Sources within the company indicate there is very little interest in exploring a villainous version of “The American Nightmare,” especially given his ongoing popularity and strong merchandise performance.

Rhodes has remained one of WWE’s top fan favorites since his return, and with the company continuing to build him as a central figure across major storylines and premium live events, it appears his role as a heroic presence is firmly locked in for now.

The report reinforces what many observers have noted – WWE is fully invested in keeping Cody Rhodes a top-tier good guy, and any potential heel turn isn’t on the horizon.

Rhodes won the WWE Championship back by defeating John Cena in the main event of SummerSlam 2025 – Night 2.

• WWE Locker Room’s Reaction To Brock Lesnar’s Return

In the main event of SummerSlam 2025 – Night 2, Cody Rhodes defeated John Cena in a Street Fight to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. In an emotional scene after the match, Cena put over Rhodes. Brock Lesnar then returned to WWE after 2 years and laid out Cena with an F5.

When asked about WWE locker room’s reaction to Lesnar’s return, Fightful Select reported that there are definitely a lot of conflicting feelings. Some people aren’t ignoring the situation, but it’s not like anyone’s planning to quit over it.

Even longtime staff members like cameraman Stu weren’t warned about Brock’s return. WWE kept everyone in the dark and doesn’t seem concerned about how the roster feels.

• Paul Heyman Says Fans Can’t Cancel Brock Lesnar

During his interview on The Ariel Helwani Show, Paul Heyman said the following about Brock Lesnar returning to WWE: “That happened real quick. Yeah, that happened, like, a couple weeks. I mean, at least to my knowledge. I got taken to it after the deal was done.”

Helwani talked about some fans criticizing WWE for bringing Lesnar back due to the allegations made against him by Janel Grant. When Helwani asked Heyman if the criticism is fair, Heyman replied:

“I don’t pay attention to it. He’s here. That’s a reality of the fact he’s here. And if you were in MetLife Stadium on Sunday, you would understand that return meant a lot. That audience was shocked to see Brock Lesnar come out and to see him F5 John Cena. Nuts. That’s our paying audience. They’re happy to see him. I’m happy to be part of a team that presents him.

Everyone has criticism in life. There are people that criticize Jesus, there are people that criticize Moses, there are people that criticize Muhammad. There are people that criticize God or Gods. There is no President that has ever existed with 100% approval rating or there’s no President that’s ever existed that someone has appointed to and say that President sucks.

People to this day think Abraham Lincoln sucked. They’re wrong, but they think it. There are people who thought FDR sucked. They’re wrong, but they think it. Bill Clinton doesn’t have 100% approval rating. Donald Trump doesn’t have 100% approval rating. Nobody does.

There’s always going to be critics of anything that we do, and very few people ever make it to the top in life without ever making mistakes or having skeletons in their closet.

Obviously the decision was made. It’s time to bring back Brock Lesnar. Whatever that decision is based on, I respect it. If there are critics of it, get over it. He’s here and he’s gonna be here and you ain’t gonna be able to cancel him.

And I’m happy to have him back because the audience is happy to have him back. If we brought him back and the audience rebelled against it, I wouldn’t be happy to have him back. ‘Oh man, this doesn’t work,’ but it works, so I’m happy about it.”
