• Date For Brock Lesnar’s Next WWE Appearance Announced

Brock Lesnar returned to WWE on Night 2 of SummerSlam 2025, but hasn’t appeared since. WWE is now advertising Lesnar the following two episodes of SmackDown: September 12 in Norfolk, Virginia and September 19 in Toledo, Ohio. As we previously noted, the Wrestling Observer reported that Brock Lesnar vs. John Cena will take place at the September 20th PLE:

“The planned main event for WWE’s September 20 PPV, going head-to-head against AEW All Out, is Brock Lesnar vs John Cena. Which is why Brock’s not booked for Paris. Because they wanted him as a method to counterprogram AEW.”

There have been rumors that this September 20th PLE could be Bad Blood.

• 5 WWE Stars Refused To Be Part of Hulk Hogan’s 10-Bell Salute

According to Billi Bhatti, the following 5 names refused to be part of WWE’s 10-bell salute to Hulk Hogan, because they have ill will towards the Hulkster:

– Paul Heyman

– Becky Lynch

– Rhea Ripley

– The New Day (Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods)

Earlier this year, Becky called Hulk Hogan “the scummiest person on Earth” on RAW Recap, while talking about fans calling her “Becky Hogan.”

• Why Roman Reigns Wasn’t a Part of Hulk Hogan’s 10-Bell Salute on RAW

Roman Reigns wasn’t a part of any of WWE’s tributes to Hulk Hogan on SmackDown (July 25), RAW (July 28) and NXT (July 29), where they did a 10-bell salute with the roster on the stage. This led to speculation that Reigns didn’t want to pay tribute to Hogan due to Hogan’s past controversies, but that’s not the case.

According to Billi Bhatti, it was Triple H’s decision to not have Roman be a part of the July 28th RAW tribute because he didn’t think it would fit The OTC’s character. It should also be noted that Roman made a surprise appearance in the main event of this July 28th episode to save Jey Uso. So, it’s possible Triple H decided to keep Roman off the tribute at the start of the show to keep the surprise intact.

Roman first met Hulk Hogan as a child, backstage at a WWF event in the 80s.

They even worked together on screen in 2019 for the Crown Jewel premium live event. At this PLE, Team Hulk Hogan (with Roman as the captain) defeated Team Ric Flair (with Randy Orton as the captain).

• WWE Stars Unhappy Over Seth Rollins Situation

Seth Rollins’ knee injury on Saturday Night’s Main Event was a work. He returned after the main event of SummerSlam 2025 – Night 1 and cashed-in his Money In The Bank contract on CM Punk to win the World Heavyweight Championship. Michael Cole called it the “Ruse of the Century.”

According to PWInsider, the way the Seth Rollins situation was handled (where everyone was lied to about Seth’s condition) seems to have left a bad taste for many, both among backstage staff and the in-ring talent.

Rollins is set to defend the World Heavyweight Title against CM Punk, LA Knight and Jey Uso in a Fatal 4-Way match at the Clash In Paris PLE on August 31st.

• WWE Disrespected Bret Hart At SummerSlam 2025

During an appearance at Vaughan Con, Bret Hart revealed that WWE disrespected him at SummerSlam 2025. Here’s what the only 3-time WWE Hall of Famer said:

“I went to SummerSlam, they invited me down, told me they wanted me to be in the crowd. And once I got there, they told me they didn’t have any seats. But I noticed Kevin Nash got a seat. Maybe I finally realized that I don’t feel they really fully appreciate me, even after Hulk (Hogan) passing. There’s no certain appreciation for anything I did.

But I do think that I speak for a different time and a different place in the wrestling world. The young wrestlers today like (CM) Punk and FTR, and (others in) AEW, they’re true fans of mine and they emulate me or try to do little things that I did in my matches and mimic it, just as sort of a salute or a nod, to say ‘this is for you’ or whatever. And I appreciate that.

But I don’t think the WWF, the company, I don’t think they give a sh*t about anything. And I don’t think they care about the past.”
