Bret Hart Wasn’t The Only Guest Who Didn’t Get a Seat at SummerSlam 2025

During an appearance at Vaughan Con, Bret Hart revealed that WWE disrespected him at SummerSlam 2025. Here’s what the only 3-time WWE Hall of Famer said:

“I went to SummerSlam, they invited me down, told me they wanted me to be in the crowd. And once I got there, they told me they didn’t have any seats. But I noticed Kevin Nash got a seat. Maybe I finally realized that I don’t feel they really fully appreciate me, even after Hulk (Hogan) passing. There’s no certain appreciation for anything I did.

But I do think that I speak for a different time and a different place in the wrestling world. The young wrestlers today like (CM) Punk and FTR, and (others in) AEW, they’re true fans of mine and they emulate me or try to do little things that I did in my matches and mimic it, just as sort of a salute or a nod, to say ‘this is for you’ or whatever. And I appreciate that.

But I don’t think the WWF, the company, I don’t think they give a sh*t about anything. And I don’t think they care about the past.”

Bret Hart wasn’t the only guest who didn’t get a seat at this year’s SummerSlam. According to the Wrestling Observer, Mick Foley’s daughter Noelle Foley didn’t get a seat either:

“They’ve been selling a lot of tickets lately, and it’s actually been over a year that for a lot of shows there is a ‘no comp’ rule. We’re talking like main roster wrestlers are unable to get their family in because there’s no seats. They’ve sold everything.

[Bret Hart] was not the only person that this happened to. Noelle Foley was there, and apparently the same thing happened to her. Like they told her she had a seat, and she got there, and then she ended up in the press box because they didn’t have a seat for her.

My basic point, I don’t want to defend them because they shouldn’t have done it, but they weren’t specifically targeting Bret. He was not the only one that this happened to at that show.

Obviously, with that said, don’t tell someone to come if you haven’t specifically reserved an actual seat for them, especially someone like Bret Hart. It’s ridiculous, but it happened. It happened to several people there, apparently.”
