• Top WWE Legend Getting Both Knees Replaced
Shawn Michaels has put his body through just about everything during his time in pro wrestling. He had some of the greatest matches in the sport’s history, but they took a serious toll on him physically over a career that lasted more than two decades.
The 2-time WWE Hall Of Famer has had multiple surgeries in the past, and now he is preparing to get both of his knees replaced next month.
Below is what he revealed in an interview with Nightcap:
“Hell yes. I’ve had my back fused. I’ve had my shoulder replaced. I got two knees that I’m getting replaced in, probably in a month; I wouldn’t change it for anything in the world; I knew that going in; I knew the price that was going to come along with it. When I worked on the road, we did 286 days. When I got a part-time schedule, it was 150 days. I enjoyed every minute.”
The Heartbreak Kid was also asked about a potential return to the ring. He said there’s no chance of it happening.
“Not a chance. I’m so blessed and so unfortunate to have done what I’ve done. I’m so overjoyed to be doing what I do now and helping the future of WWE. Being part of that, NXT is thriving on Tuesday nights on CW Network. To help these young men and women to achieve their passions and dreams is something that I had no idea I’d enjoy this much, but it is so great. I think the business is in tremendous hands for the future.”
Shawn Michaels last wrestled at WWE Crown Jewel in 2018, where he teamed up with Triple H to take on The Brothers Of Destruction.
• “You wouldn’t have had a f**k finish you have every f**king week” – 2x HOFer Thinks LA Knight Should’ve Won At Clash In Paris
WWE Clash In Paris featured Seth Rollins putting his World Heavyweight Championship on the line against LA Knight, Jey Uso and CM Punk in the main event in a Fatal 4-Way Match. The bout ended with Becky Lynch attacking Punk to help her husband Rollins retain the title.
Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash gave his views on the result of the match. He questioned why Triple H didn’t go in a different direction and book LA Knight to win the match.
“Would it have hurt the programming if LA Knight would have went over? And you wouldn’t have had a f**k finish that you have every f**king week.”
The former WWF Champion added that it was a great opportunity for Triple H to “break the monotony”, but The Game missed it.
• “His confidence… I wish I had some of that” – WWE Hall Of Famer On Dominik Mysterio
Dominik Mysterio made his debut as a pro wrestler in the summer of 2020. He worked alongside his father Rey for two years before turning heel to join forces with The Judgment Day in 2022.
Dirty Dom has achieved a lot of success as a heel. He currently holds the WWE Intercontinental Championship and the AAA Mega Championship.
In an interview with the Club 520 podcast, Rey Mysterio revealed that his wife, Angie, was the first one to point out that their son would be a fitting bad guy.
“Deep down in my thoughts, I’ve always said or knew that he was going to be something bigger than what I did. I didn’t know how. My wife was the first one to spot and point that she never saw him as the good guy. She always saw him as a bad guy in the ring, which now it makes complete sense.
She spent more time with him than I did because I was traveling so much, she was mom and dad. But to see his growth over the past four years and how he just evolved into this character and embraced it and just now completely owns it is awesome, man.
His confidence is… I wish I had some of that when I was his age, and I wish I knew what he knows now when I was his age, I had no clue. I was learning as I was going.
But I think the huge factor in this is he was… he was thrown in right away to swim with sharks and he figured that out. He learned how to swim with sharks. So, you know, I think personally that’s why he’s in the spot that he’s in now.”
Dirty Dom forced his father to put the Mega Title around his waist after winning it at Worlds Collide.
