• “You never bury a company” – Former WWE Women’s Champion On Toni Storm’s Recent Comments

Toni Storm parted ways with WWE in 2021 after being frustrated with her creative direction in the company. She joined AEW in 2022, where she seems to be very satisfied with her booking.

The former AEW Women’s World Champion recently called herself an “AEW Lifer” and stated that she will end her career in Tony Khan’s promotion, making it clear that a return to WWE is not in her plans.

Former WWE Women’s Champion Victoria discussed Storm’s comments on the latest edition of The Velvet Ropes, where she said that Toni should not bash WWE, so that no bridges are burnt between the two sides.

“First of all, I love Toni Storm. Super sweet when you see her at a meet and greet, very thankful. And yeah, I love her, but you never bury a company. You know, we all learn this saying that ‘maybe that’s not the place for me,’ but every company changes every year. You never know when you’re going to go back or when they’re going to demand Toni Storm to make a comeback to WWE.

You don’t want to bash any company, and I’ve learned that lesson. I’ve done that before and shame on me, but I think you get very like in your head going, ‘I need to say what I am feeling right now.’ But social media is not the platform to go if I’m angry at a moment. You know what? Let me think about it tomorrow if I feel the same way, you know because social media is so easy to go on a rampage and you’re going to go the next day, ‘I shouldn’t have said that’.”

Toni Storm recently said that fans may have never seen her again if AEW did not sign her after her departure from WWE.

• WWF Legend Reveals What Vince McMahon Banned At His 80th Birthday Party

Vince McMahon celebrated his 80th birthday at the end of last month. His birthday party was attended by several big names like John Cena, The Undertaker, Kane, Drew McIntyre, The Godfather and JBL.

The two-day celebration took place at the five-star Baccarat Hotel in New York City, with the former WWE CEO covering all expenses for his guests, including hotel rooms and tickets to a New York Yankees vs. Boston Red Sox game. Musical performances were provided by Jelly Roll and Kid Rock.

WWE Hall of Famer Sgt. Slaughter was also among the names who attended the event. During an interview with Bill Apter of SK Wrestling, the former WWF Champion revealed that cell phones weren’t allowed at the event.

Here’s what he said:

“We all sat down to have our dinners, and the New York Symphony was playing when we got there. When we got there, we could hear the orchestra, but we couldn’t see them because they had it curtained off, and all of a sudden a curtain opened up, and there was Vince on the stage, and he said, ‘Welcome to my 80th birthday party. Come down and join me, and let’s have some fun.’

We all made our way down to the pit there where our tables were, and it was magnificent. It was the most incredible scene, but nobody was allowed to have cell phones. You either had to leave them in your room or check them at the door when you came in.

If you needed to call someone, you had to go outside and do it. Nobody was allowed to take pictures. They had cameras there for their purposes, but nobody was allowed to have a cell phone out.”
