• WWE Released Andrade Due To “Numerous” Violations
Last night’s 6-Year Anniversary special episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with Kenny Omega and Brodido vs. Josh Alexander and The Young Bucks in a Trios Match. The Cleaner’s team got the win after which Alexander and The Young Bucks attacked him.
Jurassic Express came out to make the save after which Jack Perry and Kenny Omega had a heated moment. Suddenly, the lights went out and Andrade showed up in a mask to blindside Omega. El Idolo then confirmed his alliance with Don Callis.
When WWE released Andrade, he was not bound by a 90-day non-compete clause. Several WWE sources told PWInsider that Andrade’s release stemmed from “numerous” Wellness Policy violations over the past year. It should be noted that a WWE wrestler can also have a Wellness Policy violation if they fail to give a drug test on time.
This effectively confirms long-standing speculation that WWE has stopped publicly announcing Wellness Policy violations for main roster talent. This practice has quietly faded away in recent years.
Rather than suspend him, WWE opted to part ways completely, leaving him free to work elsewhere immediately.
