• Triple H Taking On More Political Duties, WWE Hires Liaison To White House
WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H’s relationship with the White House is growing stronger.
The Wrestling Observer reports that The Game is preparing to expand his role in politics in some form. WWE has hired Cyrus Kowsari as a liaison to the White House, who will also oversee the AI-driven creative process in the company.
Previously, sources stated that Triple H’s political commitments were hurting WWE as creative decisions were being impacted by his reduced availability.
WWE’s relationship with the government may be at its peak right now as Triple H has made two visits to the White House in recent months.
There has also been chatter about U.S. President Donald Trump possibly attending John Cena’s final match in Washington D.C. on Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.
• WWE In Panic Over Recent Poor Performance
WWE fans were calling for change towards the end of Vince McMahon’s run as chairman. When Triple H took over as Chief Content Officer, the company experienced a boom. Ratings were strong, arenas sold out and fans praised the storylines.
However, many fans now feel WWE isn’t as exciting as it was at the start of Triple H’s tenure. The company isn’t doing as good as it was in the last few years.
According to the Wrestling Observer, there’s concern backstage in WWE over weaker ticket pre-sales, record-low TV ratings and the perception that Wrestlepalooza underperformed on ESPN.
Many fans have been unable to buy tickets due to the rising prices. A lot of viewers who once tuned in regularly are no longer doing so as frequently because they feel WWE isn’t as entertaining in 2025.
WWE heavily promoted Wrestlepalooza as a major event, but it failed to live up to the hype. What was supposed to be a landmark show received a “C” grade from ESPN reviewer Andreas Hale.
• WWE Fired NXT Star Because Main Roster “Had No Interest” In Using Him
WWE parted ways with multiple wrestlers over the last week. The company let go talent it reportedly felt wasn’t suitable for the main roster. The most surprising name on the list was Wes Lee.
The 30-year-old signed with WWE in 2020 and went on to win the NXT North American Championship once, as well as the NXT Tag Team Titles twice.
According to the Wrestling Observer, despite having him in the developmental brand for five years, WWE was not interested in using Lee on RAW or SmackDown, which is why the decision to release him was made.
WWE Hall of Famer and NXT commentator Booker T had implied earlier this week on his podcast that this was the reason for Lee’s release, which turned out to be true.
• Chris Jericho Reportedly Leaving AEW For WWE Retirement Tour & Hall Of Fame Induction
Chris Jericho’s AEW contract is reportedly set to expire at the end of 2025. As the year draws to a close, speculation is growing that the former World Heavyweight Champion could return to WWE for one final run next year.
According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE believes that Jericho is returning for a Retirement Tour and a Hall of Fame induction.
Y2J hasn’t appeared in AEW since April of this year. His 2026 cruise is not advertising any AEW matches or talent, which is unusual compared to the last few years.
In a recent interview, he also mentioned that he would be open to a WWE return.

During the match, Rhea Ripley suffered a nasty nose injury after an accidental spot involving Raquel Rodriguez and IYO SKY. Rodriguez launched SKY into Ripley, who was caught off guard and took the impact directly to her face.
The referee and medical staff were seen checking on Ripley after she started bleeding. She was then helped to the back. Below are some photos of her injury:
