• Why Fans Are Speculating That Edge Could Return For John Cena’s Final Opponent Tournament
In a vignette on tonight’s Saturday Night’s Main Event, John Cena announced a 16-man tournament featuring wrestlers from RAW, SmackDown, and NXT.
The winner of this “Last Time Is Now” tournament will face him in his retirement match on Saturday Night’s Main Event on December 13.

The tournament will begin on RAW in Boston on November 10, where Cena will appear as well.

After this vignette aired, fans began speculating that WWE Hall of Famer Edge (currently working as Adam Copeland in AEW) could show up in this tournament because Cena said the following about who will compete in his Last Time Is Now tournament:
“And maybe even some faces who don’t even work here.”
It’s safe to say that Edge won’t compete in the tournament, and it will likely be someone like Joe Hendry from TNA.
• Major Name Says Vince McMahon Loved Controlling People More Than Making Money
Ronda Rousey has once again made it clear that she has no plans to return to WWE. The Baddest Woman On The Planet left the company in the summer of 2023 after her final match against Shayna Baszler, ending what she has since described as a frustrating and disorganized run.
Speaking on Bertcast, Rousey criticized Vince McMahon’s leadership during her final months in WWE, saying his focus was more on control than on the success of the company.
“I think Vince didn’t really care about how successful the company was or how much money he was making. He cared about how much influence he had on other people culturally. And so he was trying to impress his viewpoint of the world on everybody else through that. The bottom line be damned.”
She explained that her second run came during a difficult period for WWE when McMahon’s presence still loomed large, creating an atmosphere of confusion and hesitation backstage.
“When I went back, it was kind of when Vince was still around, but not really. There was so much indecision, and everyone was kind of frozen because they didn’t want to move without his permission, but they couldn’t get it. It was just a mess.”
Rousey said she’s thankful for her time in WWE, but is content leaving that chapter behind.
“Probably not going to be going back. I’m grateful for the experience, but it’s not my circus, not my monkeys.”
• Gable Steveson Wins Boxing Debut In 13 Seconds (Video)
Olympic Gold Medalist and former WWE wrestler Gable Steveson has made a strong start in combat sports. He made his MMA debut at LFA 217 in September, where he defeated Braden Peterson via first-round TKO.
Steveson also made his boxing debut at Dirty Boxing 4 at The Pinnacle in Nashville, Tennessee, on Thursday. He defeated Billy Swanson by first-round knockout, 13 seconds into their clash, landing powerful uppercuts and follow-up strikes. Swanson, a veteran fighter who had not won a bout since 2021, was overwhelmed by Steveson’s punching power.

Steveson signed with WWE in 2021 after winning freestyle wrestling gold at the Tokyo 2020 Olympics. He was drafted to RAW, but never wrestled on the red brand and was later demoted to NXT, where he made his televised debut at the 2023 Great American Bash against Baron Corbin. That match ended in a double count-out.
The 25-year-old was released from WWE last year as the company felt he was not progressing as expected.
