• WWE Has Quietly Parted Ways With Jesse Ventura After Controversy

WWE Hall of Famer Jesse Ventura returned to the company last year after more than a decade away, signing a deal that saw him appear as a special commentator on Saturday Night’s Main Event.

Ventura’s last appearance on commentary came during Saturday Night’s Main Event in May, where he criticized Damian Priest’s victory over Drew McIntyre in a Steel Cage Match, calling out the finish that saw The Archer of Infamy win by walking out of the cage. He later appeared in an opening skit alongside commentator Joe Tessitore during the July edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event, which turned out to be his final WWE appearance.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Ventura had a one-year agreement with WWE that has now expired. While the exact details haven’t been confirmed, it’s believed his deal ended with the most recent Saturday Night’s Main Event episode.

The report notes that Ventura’s involvement was already being reduced following his heavy criticism of McIntyre and Priest’s encounter. After that incident, WWE reportedly decided to scale back his role, downplaying his presence on later shows before quietly removing him from television altogether.

Here’s what Ventura said about the finish of Priest vs. McIntyre on commentary:

“How do you win it going out the door? I thought you had to go over the top. What kind of BS is that?”

The 74-year-old has not been referenced on WWE programming since, suggesting that the company has no immediate plans to bring him back.

• New Chapter Starting In The Bloodline Saga Soon

Roman Reigns became The Tribal Chief in 2020 and ruled the WWE for almost 4 years straight as its top champion. After losing the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship to Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 40, Roman went on a hiatus and Solo Sikoa started calling himself The Tribal Chief.

Reigns returned at SummerSlam 2024 as a babyface and began a feud with Sikoa. On RAW’s Netflix premiere episode on January 6th, 2025, Reigns defeated Sikoa to become the Undisputed Tribal Chief. The Rock put the Ula Fala around Roman’s neck on that night.

Months after his loss to Reigns, Solo captured the United States Championship. He now runs his own faction: My Family Tree.

It looks like The Bloodline saga might have a new chapter soon. According to USPTO, WWE filed a trademark for “Tribal Heir” on November 6th.

Roman was last seen on WWE programming at Crown Jewel, where he lost to Bronson Reed after Jey Uso accidentally speared Roman through a table.

The OTC is expected to return for Survivor Series 2025 this month for a Men’s WarGames Match.
