• AEW Star Says WWE Makes Wrestlers Uncomfortable

MVP was unhappy with Triple H towards the end of his WWE run and ultimately decided to part ways with the company in the summer of 2024. Later that year, he debuted in AEW, where he reunited with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to form The Hurt Syndicate.

In a recent interview with Adventure Gamers, MVP praised All Elite Wrestling for its more relaxed and collaborative environment, highlighting the difference from his experiences in WWE.

“He’s just a nice guy and a good person… Tony Khan is a lot more interactive [than Triple H] and will take in a lot more ideas. He’s more willing to be pliable when it comes to his vision, how he wants to present it, and what he’s willing to do to add to it or change it. He’s just a nice guy. It’s funny — like his energy level. He’s always happy, and I’ve never seen him be mean to somebody.

It’s a much different environment. WWE was very corporate, very tight-laced, and for some people even uncomfortable — they’re made to feel like they’re walking on eggshells, and people are scared of getting fired. That environment doesn’t exist in AEW. It’s way more relaxed. No one’s walking on eggshells. The boss has time for everybody. And it’s super fun. No stress.”

MVP, who recently extended his contract with AEW, has criticized Triple H for his lack of professionalism multiple times since his WWE departure.

• Ex-AEW/WWE Wrestler Says Triple H Was More Approachable Than Tony Khan

Former WWE and AEW wrestler Bobby Fish recently spoke on TMZ’s Inside The Ring podcast, where he discussed the difference between WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H and AEW President Tony Khan.

The former NXT Tag Team Champion explained that while both Tony Khan and Triple H are busy, he found it significantly easier to get time with Triple H than with Khan.

“Yeah, but I don’t know that my relationship with Tony was like – Tony is pretty quiet and reserved, I always found it a little bit of a difficult process to get an audience with Tony. Rightfully so, he’s the head of the ship there and there’s so many parts and there’s so much going in and out. He’s a busy man, I’m not knocking him in anyway for that. He’s trying to manage the chaos but I certainly don’t believe that helped our relationship in any way unfortunately.

I think Hunter’s a bit more of a presence, a physical presence. To get an audience with Hunter is not always possible but inevitable. So, as a performer, you kind of know like, ‘Okay, well sh*t, it might not be today but I’ll get him before the end of the week.’ You understand that it’s just that he’s busy.

Tony is busy too, so I can’t say that doesn’t hold up as well. I never doubted that if I needed Hunter’s ear for something, that I wouldn’t eventually get there. With Tony, it didn’t happen.

I can only go based on that because I’m not here to sh*t talk Tony either. If I’m being honest about the difference between the two, that would be my answer.”

• “I don’t think it was meant to be racist” – Paige Defends Sydney Sweeney Over American Eagle Controversy

Earlier this year, Sydney Sweeney fronted a denim campaign for American Eagle featuring the tagline “Sydney’s got great jeans (genes).” While intended as a playful pun highlighting the clothing, it sparked outrage from a section of social media users, who called the ad out as echoing eugenic or white‑supremacist themes, especially given Sweeney’s fair‑skinned, blonde‑haired look.

The backlash picked up further momentum after U.S. President Donald Trump publicly praised the ad.

Critics argued the campaign glamorised “superior genes,” while others dismissed the outrage as exaggerated. American Eagle defended the ad, stating that it was simply about the jeans and inclusive in nature.

Sweeney eventually addressed the controversy in an interview, calling the reaction “surreal.”

On her Rulebreakers podcast, former WWE and AEW star Saraya (aka Paige) defended Sweeney and said that she doesn’t think the ad was intended to promote racism.

“She’s already controversial because she’s always in the media for something. She’s a beautiful woman and she uses that to her advantage. I don’t understand why people get mad about her using her beauty.

There’s millions of women doing OnlyFans & selling $ex. I mean whatever she’s doing, her PR team are genius. She’s constantly freaking viral for something. Take that as you want. I don’t think it was meant to be racist.”
