• Jeff Jarrett’s AEW Role Has Changed

A recent AEW job listing for a Manager of Live Events has sparked questions among fans about what happened to the previous person in that role – and whether Jeff Jarrett, who was once heavily involved in AEW’s live event strategy, is still connected to the department.

According to Fightful Select, Jarrett’s responsibilities within All Elite Wrestling have shifted significantly in recent months. While he was previously thought to have helped oversee live events, he’s reportedly been working in a talent-only capacity for quite some time.

The former TNA founder hasn’t wrestled for AEW since the widely panned storyline with MJF, though he’s remained active in other ways.

Jarrett has continued to appear at AEW community functions, help with promotional events, and participate in pre-show segments for major broadcasts – but his behind-the-scenes influence appears to have been reduced.

• Stephanie McMahon Reveals Her Reaction To Fans Calling Her A “S-ut”

Stephanie McMahon made her WWF/E debut in 1999 and quickly became a central figure in some of the company’s biggest storylines. She mostly played a heel throughout the years, and cemented herself as one of WWE’s most memorable on-screen personalities.

Speaking with WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman on her What’s Your Story podcast, Stephanie discussed the thrills of being a heel and stated that she prefers playing a heel over a babyface.

“I think of myself as a babyface in real life. Maybe I’m not, but to be out there as a babyface is so tough. It’s so much easier to be a heel. It’s so much more fun. I hate it. Terrible. Despise it.”

She also recalled the wild WWE crowds from her early years, who chanted outrageous things at her, and revealed her favorite chant.

“My most horrifying moment: she’s got side meat. So mean. In Chicago, they were like, ‘she’s a crack wh*re.’ Most everywhere else it was, ‘sl*t.’ As soon as I turned heel, it was amazing.

It was at Armageddon in December ’99, the night I did the heel turn and got with Paul (Triple H) in storyline. The next day, the crowd came with the ‘sl*t’ chant. And honestly, it was the greatest thing I had ever heard.

Nobody else got chanted at that way. Thousands of people in these arenas chanting that at me. I was like, what are they? Fantastic. The greatest. I mean, who could say that? Not many people.”

Stephanie McMahon is set to be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame next year.
