• Why Randy Orton Doesn’t Care About WWE Not Using Him, Randy’s Biggest Drawback Revealed

Randy Orton made his return to action at Survivor Series: WarGames two years ago following a career-threatening injury. Since then, The Viper has seen sporadic usage on WWE programming and has taken multiple hiatuses.

His most recent appearance came on the October 3 episode of SmackDown this year, where he came to the aid of Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes against The Vision.

Speaking on his Kliq This podcast, 2-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash questioned why the company hasn’t been using Orton and explained that The Viper always prioritized his family and personal schedule over wrestling, so he is content with being off TV as long as he’s getting his paycheck.

“I don’t know why they haven’t used Randy because when you look at Randy’s body of work as the youngest champion and how long he’s been there. He has 14 world championships. It would take nothing for him to become an 18-time champion and surpass 17, but Randy has never been a mark. That’s probably Randy’s biggest drawback.

Randy is not a f**king mark. Randy just wants to get paid and hang out with his wife and kids. ‘If you don’t have a spot for me, but you’re still going to pay me and I can sit at home and go to the gym in my house, I’m cool.'”

Randy Orton missed John Cena’s final match last weekend, which was a big shock for many fans. He recently confirmed that he’ll be in Saudi Arabia for Royal Rumble weekend in January.

• Update On Potential Main Roster Call-Ups For NXT Stars Who Appeared On Saturday Night’s Main Event

The final Saturday Night’s Main Event of 2025 was intended to be all about John Cena’s retirement, but The GOAT made sure promising stars from NXT got their moments in the spotlight before he officially stepped away.

NXT Champion Oba Femi squared off against Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes in a match that could have stolen the show, if not for Drew McIntyre’s interference. Sol Ruca impressed with her upset victory over Bayley, while Je’Von Evans and TNA X-Division Champion Leon Slater gave their all in a nine-minute bout against World Tag Team Champions AJ Styles and Dragon Lee.

Joe Hendry also had a chance to showcase his charisma against The Miz.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, none of these talents have officially been called up to RAW or SmackDown yet, despite their standout performances.

Je’Von Evans appeared on RAW this week and is scheduled to face Rayo Americano next week. He also defeated The Miz last week on SmackDown, though it remains unclear whether he has been permanently promoted to the main roster.

As noted before, WWE sees all these wrestlers as ready for the main roster.
