• Roman Reigns Asked Vince McMahon To Change WrestleMania Finish
According to Post Wrestling, new legal filings indicate that Vince McMahon played a role in WWE’s creative planning on the road to WrestleMania 39 in 2023, contradicting WWE President Nick Khan’s earlier claim on CNBC that McMahon had no involvement in creative decisions. Below is an exchange that was shown:
Vince McMahon: “Hey guys just double checking. Does Roman and Cody know the new creative re WM and next year ?”
Bruce Prichard: “Not to my knowledge. I don’t know if Paul (Levesque) has had a conversation with either. Roman’s first appearance since we spoke is Friday in DC. Both will be there in person.”

This began speculation that the original plan for WrestleMania 39 was for Cody Rhodes to defeat Roman Reigns to win the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship in 2023, in their first encounter.
The Wrestling Observer confirmed this and they revealed that it was Reigns who pitched the new finish to McMahon:
“Roman Reigns was the one that went to Vince and pitched the idea. They were right because the second year was much bigger than the first.”

Momentum is building toward Chad Gable making his way back to WWE television after an extended absence. Gable has been out for several months due to a shoulder injury that disrupted multiple creative plans during the summer.
According to Fightful Select, that recovery is now nearing its final stages, with a return expected sooner rather than later.
He has recently been training at the WWE Performance Center, where he has been preparing to resume in-ring action. Internally, the belief is that Gable will be cleared in time for Royal Rumble 2026 in Saudi Arabia on January 31, with hope that he could return even earlier.
