• Another WWE Star Set To Return In Time For Royal Rumble 2026
Momentum is building toward Chad Gable making his way back to WWE television after an extended absence. Gable has been out for several months due to a shoulder injury that disrupted multiple creative plans during the summer. According to Fightful Select, that recovery is now nearing its final stages, with a return expected sooner rather than later.
He has recently been training at the WWE Performance Center, where he has been preparing to resume in-ring action. Internally, the belief is that Gable will be cleared in time for Royal Rumble 2026 in Saudi Arabia on January 31, with hope that he could return even earlier.
During his absence, WWE shifted his El Grande Americano gimmick to Ludwig Kaiser, a move that is expected to be addressed once Gable is back in the mix.
As we noted in our previous article, Dominik Mysterio is also expected to get cleared and return in time for the Royal Rumble.
• Kevin Nash Involved In A Car Incident
Kevin Nash revealed on his Kliq This podcast that he was involved in a car incident that occurred shortly after a long and frustrating travel ordeal, detailing the moment he struck a large dog while driving near his home and the unexpected fallout that followed.
Nash explained that the incident happened at night while he was driving along the beach, noting that visibility was limited. “It’s six o’clock on the beach. It’s pitch black. I’ve got the lobster in the trunk and a 90-pound dog runs in front of my car.” He immediately slammed on the brakes and stressed that his speed was low. “I’m only doing 30 to start with,” he said, adding that his reflexes helped minimize the impact.
Despite hitting the animal, Nash believes the dog survived. “If I hit that dog going 10, I would be surprised. It kind of picked him up like a cow catcher would on the front of a train and he landed on his feet and then he just ran forward.” According to Nash, the dog disappeared between nearby houses, leaving him unsure of its condition.
Concerned about the animal, Nash stopped his car and searched the area. “I pulled up and got out and I got my flashlight,” he said. He also acknowledged taking precautions for his own safety. “I also happened to have a pistol in my car,” Nash explained, adding that he wasn’t willing to risk being attacked by an injured or rabid dog while searching in the dark. Despite looking around, he said, “I couldn’t find blood trail. I couldn’t find anything.”
The following morning, Nash said he continued trying to determine whether the dog had been hurt. “I got up the next morning and did some investigative (work) to see if I could see if anybody… I didn’t want somebody, their dog, to have been injured,” he said. After checking with people in the area, he found no reports matching the incident. “Nobody knew a dog like that,” Nash said.
While the dog appeared to escape serious injury, Nash later discovered the damage to his vehicle was far more extensive than he expected. He said he initially assumed it would be minor. Instead, a repair estimate shocked him: “I thought they needed to put some part in that was missing a clip. Dude told me I had $3,000-plus worth of damage.”
Nash broke down the estimate, expressing disbelief at some of the costs. “There’s $583 for paint,” he said, pointing out that his car is white and replacement parts arrived in black. He was particularly frustrated by the additional expense tied to cosmetic details. “There’s like a four-inch little stripe that goes down two pieces of my car,” Nash said. “That was like 500 bucks for that.”
Looking back on the situation, Nash made it clear the entire sequence – from travel chaos to the car incident – felt like an unrelenting stretch of bad luck. “Yeah, Merry Christmas,” Nash said dryly.
