• Ricochet Reportedly At Risk Of Being Fired From AEW
Ricochet lost the AEW National Championship in a 21-man Blackjack Battle Royal at Revolution this past Sunday. After the show, AEW posted a backstage video of his reaction to the title change, which led to a fan commenting that his acting hadn’t improved. Ricochet fired back by saying “I’m glad you got MS,” referring to the fan’s Multiple Sclerosis.
The comment sparked backlash online, with his wife, former WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin, also getting dragged into the situation.
Ricochet later apologized, admitting the fan didn’t deserve that response and saying he would do better moving forward. However, the situation could have bigger consequences.
Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer stated on the F4W Forum that “if he’s crossing his fingers, it’s hoping he’s still employed by the end of the week,” suggesting Ricochet’s job in AEW could be in danger.
• Bad News For Toni Storm
At AEW Revolution 2026, “Timeless” Toni Storm defeated Marina Shafir. After the match, Toni was confronted by the debuting Ronda Rousey. Marina blindsided Toni and knocked her out.
On last night’s Dynamite, Toni was scheduled to face Marina in a rematch, this time under No Holds Barred rules. However, Storm was attacked at the start of the show and was replaced in the match by Mina Shirakawa.
According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, Toni will be out of action for a long time due to an undisclosed injury.

• Tony Khan Placed $6.9 Billion Bid To Buy WWE In 2023
It turns out AEW President Tony Khan actually tried to buy WWE in 2023. Recently unredacted court documents from a shareholder lawsuit by Post Wrestling have revealed that Khan’s company, Base 10, was one of the four final bidders when Vince McMahon put the company up for sale.
While it was already known that big players like Liberty Media (the owners of Formula One) and the private equity firm KKR had made offers, Khan’s involvement was kept secret until now.
Tony Khan’s bid was significantly lower than the other three. Here is how the final offers stacked up in terms of total company valuation:
Base 10 (Tony Khan): $6.9 Billion
KKR: $8.0 – $8.7 Billion
Liberty Media: $8.5 – $8.9 Billion
Endeavor (The Winner): $8.5 Billion
Even though Khan’s bid was the lowest, the shareholders suing WWE claim the whole process was rigged. They argue that Vince McMahon pre-selected Endeavor because their CEO, Ari Emanuel, promised to keep McMahon in a powerful position.
They believe that if WWE had allowed a fair fight between KKR and Liberty Media, the price could have gone even higher.
The filings explicitly link Base 10 to All Elite Wrestling, noting that a merger would have created massive synergies between the two biggest wrestling promotions.
Florida business records further confirm that Tony Khan is the sole officer of Base 10, using the same address as the Jacksonville Jaguars’ stadium.
