• Hollywood Legend Wants 20% Of Danhausen’s WWE Salary

Late-night host Conan O’Brien has publicly praised Danhausen after his recent WWE debut. On his podcast “Conan O’Brien Needs a Friend,” Conan revisited his 2021 interview with Danhausen (the very first episode of his “Conan O’Brien Needs a Fan” series). He congratulated him on making it to WWE and said:

“Danhausen explained to me, when we did this very first fan episode, that he had loosely based his wrestling character on me if I was an interdimensional demon, which seems redundant to me.

Danhausen and I had a great conversation. We talked about comedy, performance, a love of entertaining people. What struck me, and I remember this to this day, Danhausen told me he had been grinding away for the past 8 years, driving 12 hours every weekend just to be able to get in front of people and wrestle. This is a guy who applied incredible work ethic to his passion. I was so impressed with this fellow.

Now, it’s 5 years later, and I’m thrilled to report that Danhausen has recently made his WWE debut to rave reviews. This is proof again that if you can marry hard work to your passion, you can go places.

On behalf of myself and all of us here at Team Coco, massive congratulations and mad respect to Danhausen. I’m so proud of you, happy for you, and I should mention that since your character is based on me, I’m getting 20%.”

• WWE Aware Of Negative Reaction Toward Recent Controversial Decision

On last week’s SmackDown, Sami Zayn defeated Carmelo Hayes to capture the United States Championship. The finish saw Trick Williams punch Hayes in the closing moments, allowing Zayn to capitalize and secure the win.

After the match, SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis announced that Sami Zayn would defend the title against Trick Williams at WrestleMania 42.

The decision sparked criticism from fans, who felt Carmelo Hayes was unfairly removed from the US Title picture just weeks before WrestleMania. Many argued that Hayes had been doing a good job as champion since winning the title from Ilja Dragunov in December 2025.

According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, WWE is aware of the online backlash towards Hayes being taken out of the title scene. However, there is currently no word on whether he will be added to the WrestleMania card.

As previously noted, WWE does not have a clear direction for Hayes following the title change.
