• Injured WWE Star Returned Before Tonight’s SmackDown

Before the March 6 episode of SmackDown, Jordynne Grace suffered an ankle injury during a match against Alba Fyre, which was taped for an episode of Main Event.

Grace made her return to action before tonight’s SmackDown at the SAP Center in San Jose, California. She picked up a win over Zelina Vega in her return match, which was taped for an upcoming episode of Main Event. Below is a photo of her from tonight:

WWE has announced the following two matches for next week’s April 17th episode of SmackDown before WrestleMania 42, which is titled “WrestleMania SmackDown”:

– Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal

– 8 Man Tag Team Street Fight: The MFTs vs. The Wyatt Sicks

• SmackDown Results – 2 Debut Matches, 2 Celebrities Attacked, New Pat McAfee Rule & McAfee’s Massive Surprise Revealed

Below are the complete results from tonight’s SmackDown, which featured the WWE televised singles debut matches of Royce Keys and Danhausen, an introduction of a new rule about how Cody Rhodes can’t touch Pat McAfee, and two celebrities getting attacked: Jelly Roll and Lil Yachty.

– Tonight’s SmackDown kicked off with Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes arriving to the arena. Nick Aldis said he’s under strict orders to not allow Cody to put his hands on Pat McAfee. Jelly Roll arrived for revenge as well, and Aldis told him to stay away.

– Rhea Ripley and IYO SKY had an in-ring segment. IYO said she wants Jade Cargill tonight. Aldis announced SKY vs. Cargill for tonight.

– Alexa Bliss def. Bayley

– Matt Cardona motivated Carmelo Hayes by saying that Carmelo will eventually have his WrestleMania moment. Trick Williams arrived and said he thought Carmelo was going to defeat Sami Zayn. Carmelo said he has to rehab his knee, but he will come back for the United States Championship after WrestleMania 42. Trick and Cardona had a face-off and they agreed to face each other in a match tonight.

– In a vignette, Drew McIntyre said he will be Jacob Fatu’s executioner at WrestleMania 42.

– Cathy Kelley interviewed Jacob Fatu and he was interrupted by The MFTs. Solo Sikoa said Jacob is making their family look bad. Jacob said they are not doing this tonight, but they eventually will. Jacob Fatu vs. Tama Tonga was set for tonight.

– Royce Keys def. Berto

This was Keys’ SmackDown debut and his first singles televised match in WWE. Angel tried to interfere, but Royce took him out as well. Royce won the match with a Spinebuster.

Royce was interviewed by Cathy Kelley backstage and he said this was a long time coming. Solo Sikoa interrupted and said Royce did a good job and if he needs anything, he can find him.

– Jelly Roll confronted Pat McAfee backstage.

– Pat McAfee came to the ring and called out CM Punk for being a hypocrite and accepting Saudi Arabia paychecks:

“When that TKO merch money hits, does that go to needy wrestling families who can’t go to Mania? Or does that money from the TKO merch account go straight into the account titled ‘I’m sorry, Saudi Arabia’?”

McAfee announced 25% off on WrestleMania 42 – Night 1 tickets until Monday. It looks like this was the “massive surprise” McAfee was talking about announcing tonight.

Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes came out and called out McAfee for calling fans marks. He said fans are customers, but more importantly, they are family to him. Cody said nobody wants Pat at WrestleMania 42 and told him to go home. McAfee said if Orton doesn’t win at WrestleMania, then you will never see or hear from him in WWE ever again. McAfee accused Cody of $uck!ng Triple H’s a$$. Cody was pi$$ed off and wanted to attack McAfee, but Orton appeared on the titantron and revealed that he attacked Jelly Roll backstage and brought him out. Orton attacked Rhodes. Jelly tried to attack McAfee, but Orton attacked Jelly. Rhodes fired back at Orton, but McAfee attacked The American Nightmare from behind. Orton hit Rhodes in the head with the WWE Title belt. McAfee posed with the WWE Championship and left with it. Backstage, McAfee told Orton that it feels like WrestleMania season now and said “you’re welcome” to the marks before leaving.

– The Miz told Nick Aldis to do something about referee Dan Engler. Aldis said Dan was cursed, not his fault. Aldis booked Kit Wilson vs. Danhausen for tonight.

– Jacob Fatu def. Tama Tonga

McIntyre attacked Fatu after the match and handcuffed him. Fatu headbutted McIntyre, but McIntyre fired back. Fatu was busted open. McIntyre whipped Fatu with his belt.

– R-Truth explained to Danhausen how to watch WrestleMania 42 on the ESPN app.

– Rhea Ripley attacked B-Fab backstage. She told R-Truth and Damian Priest that one down, one to go (referring to Michin).

– United States Champion Sami Zayn came out and said he only cares about his true fans. Trick Williams came out and said fans are tired of hearing Sami talk and the fans cheered. Sami said everyone says Trick is the future, but he doesn’t see anything in Trick yet.

– Trick Williams def. Matt Cardona

Lil Yachty choked Cardona multiple times against the bottom rope during the match. Yachty attacked Sami Zayn during the match, which led to Sami laying out Yachty with a Helluva Kick.

– Danhausen def. Kit Wilson

This was Danhausen’s 1st ever WWE match. Kit got cursed mid-match when he was on the top rope and the pyro went off behind him, which eventually cost him the match.

The Miz tried to attack Danhausen after the match, but Danhausen managed to escape.

– Jade Cargill found out backstage that Rhea Ripley has attacked Michin as well.

– IYO SKY told Rhea Ripley to stay backstage during her match against Jade Cargill.

– WWE Women’s Champion Jade Cargill def. IYO SKY

After the match, Cargill tried to attack SKY with a steel chair, but Rhea Ripley ran out, which resulted in Cargill retreating.
