• Top WWE Star Dealing With Significant Injury
Randy Orton was last seen on WWE programming at WrestleMania 42 – Night 1, where he failed to defeat Cody Rhodes for the Undisputed WWE Championship in the main event. Also on that night, Orton laid out his partner, Pat McAfee. This led to the end of the McAfee storyline.
According to the Wrestling Observer, Orton has been off TV because he’s dealing with a back injury:
“He’s got a back injury and it’s significant. That’s why he’s been gone since WrestleMania and it’s probably why he didn’t win the title.”
WWE is currently advertising Randy Orton for the May 29th episode of SmackDown at Olympic Arena in Barcelona, Spain. This is the final episode before the Clash In Italy PLE, where Rhodes will defend the WWE Title against Gunther.
