Ludwig Kaiser, also known as El Grande Americano in WWE and AAA, was arrested in Orlando, Florida, on May 20 following an alleged altercation at his apartment complex on April 23.
As previously noted, police were called to the Paramount on Lake Eola Apartments after resident Richard Reap claimed Kaiser, whose real name is Marcel Barthel, attacked him outside an elevator on the 12th floor.
In the original police report, Reap alleged that Kaiser and a woman were acting in an “uncontrollably intimate manner” inside the elevator and claimed he simply told them to “have some manners” before the situation escalated.
Authorities later charged Kaiser with battery before releasing him on a $1,000 bond later that night.
Court records show Kaiser has pleaded not guilty, waived arraignment and requested permission for both out-of-state and international travel while the case remains active.
Now, Raj Giri has reported new details regarding what allegedly led to the incident. According to the report, Kaiser was inside the elevator with his girlfriend, WWE Spanish host Andrea Bazarte. The two were being affectionate, though nothing excessive or unusual.
This version of events differs significantly from the original police account. It is claimed that Richard Reap stayed quiet inside the elevator, but after he exited on the 12th floor, he allegedly told Kaiser words to the effect of “show some f’n respect” before threatening to call ICE on Bazarte and referring to her as a “b**ch.”
Kaiser then allegedly stepped out of the elevator and got into a brief scuffle with Reap, although no punches were said to have been thrown – unlike the original police report, which alleged Reap had been punched multiple times.
Another discrepancy arises between accounts, with Reap describing Kaiser’s partner as white in his police statement, while this report claims he was with Bazarte, who is Mexican.
