Up next is the main event of the evening, the NXT Championship match between “The Glorious” Bobby Roode and the former WWE Intercontinental Champion “The Chosen One” Drew McIntyre.

SmackDown Live Superstar Kevin Owens and Raw Superstar Samoa Joe are ringside for this NXT Title match. Drew McIntyre makes his way out first for his first ever NXT TakeOver main event.

NXT Champion Bobby Roode makes his glorious entrance next. The match begins and the commentators talk about the size difference between these two competitors.

After getting around by McIntyre in the beginning, Roode immediately looks to hit his Glorious DDT, but McIntyre manages to escape. This puts confidence in Roode and he does his “Glorious” taunt.

McIntyre hits a tilt-a-whirl slams on Roode on the ring apron and he then takes the action back into the ring. Roode then hits a neckbreaker on the middle rope and McIntyre falls outside.
