• Paul Heyman Has Big Plans For Andrade

As we noted last night, ProWrestlingSheet reported that current United States Champion Andrade has been suspended for 30 days from WWE due to his 1st violation of the WWE Wellness Policy:

“Sources tell us Andrade – real name Manuel Oropeza – was told of the suspension this morning. It’s unclear what substance he tested positive for at this time.”

As seen on last night’s RAW, Andrade defended his US Title against Humberto Carrillo and retained the Title via DQ.

After the match, Carrillo DDTed Andrade on the concrete floor and this was done to write Andrade off WWE programming for 30 days (similar to how Roman Reigns destroyed Robert Roode a while back, so that WWE could write him off TV because he was also suspended for Wellness Policy Violation).

Despite getting suspended, Andrade’s future in WWE looks bright as the Wrestling Observer is reporting that RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman wants to turn Andrade into a “franchise player”:

“He wants to turn him into a real franchise player. He wants to establish him as one of the cornerstones I mean, as you can see Andrade, Aleister Black, Buddy Murphy, Ricochet — those are all of the guys.

I think that Andrade and Aleister Black and [Drew] McIntyre are in the forefront of everyone he’s trying to push.”

This also played a reason in Andrade not dropping the US Title despite failing a wellness policy test and getting suspended.
