On this day in 1988, the World Wrestling Federation aired an episode of their weekly TV show ‘WWF Superstars of Wrestling’.
This episode was pre-taped in Duluth, Minnesota and featured matches, promos & storyline segments on the road to the ‘WWF SummerSlam 1988’ PPV.

• Heath Slater Starting To Get In Shape
The One Man Band was one of the long-time employees WWE released in April during the budget cuts. Heath Slater started working with WWE in 2006, before appearing on the first season of NXT in 2010.
Although Slater was very over with the fans, he could never break through the lower mid-card spot.
Slater has started working out to redeem himself, as he took to Twitter to share a post-workout picture of himself.

On this week’s episode of IMPACT Wrestling, Slater’s former Tag Team partner, Rhino, hinted a reunion with him on the promotion, so he could be working out for his debut there.
Nonetheless, this is a very interesting scenario, as Slater’s former 3MB partners, Jinder Mahal and Drew McIntyre, were both released by WWE in the past as well, and they also got in better shape and later returned to the company to win the WWE Championship.
• Nikki Bella’s Baby’s Gender Revealed
During the season 5 finale of Total Bellas, it was revealed that Nikki Bella is pregnant with a boy.
The baby is due in August. Brie Bella is also pregnant, but she decided not to participate in the gender reveal.

E! made the following announcement regarding Season 6 of Total Bellas:
“Nikki and Artem’s big baby news also coincides with E!’s announcement that season six of Total Bellas will premiere this fall! The new season will follow the twins’ births as Nikki navigates the joys of parenthood and Brie becomes a mom of two.”
