Below are some top WWE news stories of the day, involving Michael Cole and Triple H.
• On this week’s episode of RAW, Katana Chance & Kayden Carter defeated Candice LeRae & Indi Hartwell.
WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions Chelsea Green & Piper Niven were on commentary during this match and WWE’s longtime commentator Michael Cole wasn’t a fan of this move, as Chelsea was being her usual obnoxious self.
Cole said on commentary why RAW General Manager Adam Pearce would do something like this to happen.
After the show, Pearce apologized to Cole with the following tweet:
“Please bear with me as I take this opportunity to publicly and sincerely apologize to Michael Cole.
The trauma you’ve suffered is undeserved and I truly hope that it heals posthaste.
🙏”
On next week’s RAW, Chelsea & Piper will defend the Women’s Tag Team Titles against Katana & Kayden.
• After his health scare in 2021, Triple H said in an interview that he almost died and now understands that family matters the most.
During an interview on Logan Paul’s Impaulsive podcast, Randy Orton revealed that Triple H has changed rules backstage in WWE and wrestlers can now get days off when they need to attend to family matters.
In an update on this, Fightful Select reported the following:
“WWE talent will have a full week off in most cases ahead of Christmas, as there are no events scheduled between December 19 and December 25.”
The December 22nd episode of SmackDown will be taped after this Friday’s episode. The December 25th episode of RAW will be a “Best of 2023” edition.
