Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite was their 3-year anniversary special. Below are the results:
– MJF def. Wheeler Yuta
After the match, Lee Moriarty attacked Wheeler Yuta. Stokely Hathaway gave MJF his Dynamite Diamond Ring and wants him to hit Yuta. William Regal grabbed his Brass Knuckles and got in the ring, and the heels left.
– Darby Allin def. Jay Lethal
After the match, Darby offered a handshake to Lethal and Lethal accepted.
– Wardlow (c) def. Brian Cage to retain the TNT Championship
The Embassy attacked Wardlow after the match, which led to Samoa Joe & FTR making the save.
– Interim AEW Women’s World Champion Toni Storm, Athena & Willow Nightingale def. Jamie Hayter, Penelope Ford & Serena Deeb
– AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed and Billy Gunn celebrated National Sissoring Day. Anthony Bowens thanked the fans for making his “Sissor Me Daddy A$$” T-Shirt a success.
Bowens said that AEW now stands for Acclaimed Every Wednesday and declared himself The Sultan of Sissoring.
Billy presented Max Caster & Bowens with a giant golden Sissor to commence the Sissoring.
Caster said that his father won a Superbowl Ring as part of Washington in Superbowl 17, and it’s his most prized possession, and for him it’s now his AEW Tag Team Championship.
Swerve Strickland interrupted and challenges Billy for a match next week. “Smart” Mark Sterling interrupted and said that everyone wants to see him Sissoring Billy & The Acclaimed. They took him out instead and Billy accepted Swerve’s challenge.
– Tay Melo & Anna Jay vs. Madison Rayne & Skye Blue was made official for Rampage after a backstage segment between them.
– Hangman Page def. Rush
After the match, AEW World Champion Jon Moxley came out. Moxley said he’s watched Hangman for the last 3 years. They’ve been circling each other and now he gets to face him one-on-one for the first time in his city and there can only be one man left standing.
– Luchasaurus def. Fuego Del Sol
After the match, Jungle Boy attacked Luchasaurus with a Steel Chair. Jungle Boy said Luchasaurus was his best friend and broke his heart when he chose Christian Cage over him, and wants a match against him. Christian said Jungle Boy can face Luchasaurus in his hometown of Toronto.
– ROH World Champion Chris Jericho & Sammy Guevara def. Bryan Danielson & ROH Pure Champion Daniel Garcia after Jericho hit Garcia with his Title
