• AEW Dynamite Beats WWE SmackDown In Ratings, WWE Officials Disappointed (Details)
This week’s episode of WWE Friday Night SmackDown, which aired on FS1 because of MLB World Series, drew 888,000 viewers.
This is down from previous week’s 2.42 million viewers.
WWE Backstage, which aired on FS1 after SmackDown, drew 426,000 viewers.
With SmackDown drawing such a low number, AEW Dynamite was able to beat it in viewership last week.
According to WrestleVotes, WWE officials were left disappointed with this number as they weren’t expecting it to be this low:
“Internally, WWE expected this past Friday’s SmackDown to do similar numbers to what the show was doing on USA Network prior to the move. It didn’t come close.
The Tuesday night to Friday night move hasn’t gone as expected, regardless of what FOX channel the show is on.”

RAW: 2.34 million viewers (up from previous week’s 2.29 million viewers)
NXT: 698,000 viewers (down from previous week’s 712,000 viewers)
Dynamite: 963,000 viewers (down from previous week’s 1.01 million viewers)
SmackDown: 888,000 viewers (down from previous week’s 2.42 million viewers)
