AEW Dynamite Results – Jon Moxley Explains Why He Turned Heel On Bryan Danielson

– Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with Jon Moxley explaining why the Blackpool Combat Club turned on AEW World Champion Bryan Danielson at All Out. Moxley said that Bryan does not have the stomach for this. He recalled the Blackpool Combat Club’s mission and criticized Danielson for his patience and kindness. He then expressed frustration with AEW, claiming egos are out of control. After mentioning that Danielson is William Regal’s favorite, Moxley declared that he’s neither a hero nor a villain, but that he believes he was put on Earth to be the one true king. Moxley added that the group had tried following Danielson’s approach of diplomacy but failed, and that he chooses war.

– Christian Cage said that he has carried All Elite Wrestling on his back for the last year and a half and was about to cash-in his Guaranteed Contract for an AEW World Championship match on Bryan Danielson at All Out, but he realized that Saturday was not the right time or place. Christian claimed that Danielson’s days are over and that being suffocated with a bag will be nothing compared to what he will do to him, and that he will beat Danielson so badly that Brie Garcia will wish she had CTE so she could not comprehend what an embarrassment her husband was as champion.

– Jack Perry (c) def. Lio Rush to retain the TNT Championship

– “Hangman” Adam Page said if Swerve Strickland had 1000 houses that he called home, then he would’ve burned all of them to ash and would’ve waited for an eternity to make Swerve pay for what he did to him and his family. Page said that he meant everything he said and did to Swerve.

– The Don Callis Family met with Will Ospreay and Callis told Ospreay that he is cashing-in his favor, and wants him to team up with Kyle Fletcher in the Casino Gauntlet Tag Team Match for the main event. Ospreay agreed, but Konosuke Takeshita is not happy.

– Ricochet def. ROH Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara

The Beast Mortos attacked Ricochet after the match.

– Jon Moxley & Darby Allin came face-to-face in the ring. Moxley said that Darby isn’t ready to become AEW World Champion and wants Darby to give him his Championship Match that he earned by winning Royal Rampage. Darby asked Moxley if he has been drinking again because he isn’t giving anything away, and if Moxley wants his championship shot, he must earn it. Moxley challenged Darby to a match at AEW Grand Slam with Darby’s Championship Match on the line, and Darby accepted.

– AEW Women’s World Champion Mariah May def. Queen Aminata

– Nigel McGuiness met with Christopher Daniels and said that he needs to speak with Tony Khan.

– The Learning Tree def. The Iron Savages

– Chris Jericho demanded that Orange Cassidy give him back the $7,000 he owes him for ruining his Jacket. The Conglomeration appeared on the titantron and fill up Jericho’s car with change.

– Nigel McGuiness came to the ring and said that he spoke to Tony Khan and then showed a contract. Nigel said he’s had to watch Bryan Danielson achieve his dreams for years, while he’s had to sit by the sidelines, and is not watching anymore. Nigel revealed that he will face Bryan at AEW Grand Slam.

– Kazuchika Okada celebrated his AEW Continental Title defense at All Out. Don Callis & Konosuke Takeshita interrupted. Callis told Okada that he won the match, but was not able to pin Takeshita. Okada said that Takeshita will be a champion one day, but it won’t be the AEW Continental Champion.

– AEW International Champion Will Ospreay & Kyle Fletcher won the Casino Gauntlet Tag Team Match to earn an AEW World Tag Team Championship match against The Young Bucks at AEW Grand Slam
