AEW Dynamite Results – Wrestler Quits, Ricochet Loses To Former WWE Star

– Tonight’s episode of AEW Dynamite kicked off with The Hurt Syndicate. MVP said Bobby Lashley beat Swerve Strickland at Full Gear and declared that Lashley is a walking armageddon, and said Shelton Benjamin will win the Continental Classic.

– Shelton Benjamin def. Mark Briscoe in the Continental Classic

– Mercedes Mone celebrated her TBS Women’s Title defense over Kris Statlander and declared that she is the greatest TBS Champion of all time. Mercedes said Kamille has been lacking in her bodyguard job and can’t get anything done right. Kamille told Mercedes to shut up and said she quits.

– Chris Jericho (c) def. Tomohiro Ishii to retain the ROH World Championship

– Swerve Strickland said Bobby Lashley was the better man at Full Gear, and now he & Prince Nana will rebuild. Max Caster interrupted and said that Swerve lost to Lashley in the same building that he took the AEW Tag Team Titles off of him, and said Swerve used to be a house of fire. Swerve grabbed Caster and jumped him.

– “Hangman” Adam Page & Jay White came face-to-face and argued over who should be the #1 Contender for the AEW World Title. The Death Riders attacked both of them.

– Claudio Castagnoli (fka Cesaro in WWE) def. Ricochet in the Continental Classic

– The Undisputed Kingdom came out. Adam Cole said he’s going to make MJF pay for what he did to Roderick Strong at Full Gear. Kyle O’Reilly interrupted and said that Cole should let him face MJF instead. MJF appeared on the titantron and said he doesn’t want to face either of them, and is focused on next week’s Dynamite Dozen Battle Royal and proceeded to play his theme song on a piano. Cole & Kyle announced that they will enter the Battle Royal as well.

– Jamie Hayter def. Queen Aminata

– Kyle Fletcher & Don Callis celebrated his win over Will Ospreay. Callis said Fletcher is better, stronger, faster, and better looking than Ospreay could ever be. Fletcher said he is just getting started and the Continental Classic is his to win.

– Mariah May (c) vs. Mina Shirakawa for the AEW Women’s World Championship will take place in two weeks at AEW Dynamite: Winter Is Coming. Mina was being interviewed by Renee Paquette and Mariah smashed a champagne bottle over Mina’s head from behind.

– Brody King def. Darby Allin in the Continental Classic

After the match, Claudio Castagnoli came out with a Steel Chair and attempted to strike Darby. Brody went back into the ring and stopped Claudio.
