As we have reported before, AEW’s new 2-hour Saturday night TV show “Collision” is set to debut on June 17th and it will feature the return of CM Punk.

According to Fightful Select, Tony Khan might book CM Punk vs. Chris Jericho (which was the WWE Championship match at WrestleMania 28 in 2012) on the debut episode of Collision.

They also noted that Punk is interested in wrestling ROH Hall of Famer Samoa Joe again, who is the current Ring of Honor TV Champion.

According to the Wrestling Observer, AEW Collision was coming to TV even if Punk wasn’t returning:

“Someone very familiar with the negotiations of the Collision deal has said that the show would have happened with or without Punk, but Warner Bros. Discovery absolutely wanted Punk.”

The announcement of AEW Collision will be made next Wednesday and the debut episode will be billed as ‘AEW Collision, The Second Coming’, due to Punk’s return after the controversial backstage fight from last year.

All Elite Wrestling did the same thing for the second episode of Rampage, which featured the debut of Punk. It was called “AEW Rampage: The First Dance”.
