• AEW Has Made An Offer To Adam Cole

Former NXT Champion Adam Cole’s WWE contract is set to expire after the SummerSlam 2021 weekend.

There were rumors that Cole’s contract will expire in 2024, but his contract actually expired after the Great American Bash last month, but he extended it till NXT TakeOver 36 (which will take place one night after SummerSlam).

According to the Wrestling Observer, Cole is currently in talks with WWE about a new contract, but AEW has offered him a contract as well:

“Those close to the situation have said that he is negotiating a new deal with NXT, but that AEW had made an offer as well and he had not agreed to either offer as of midweek.”

Cole signing with AEW can’t be ruled out, since his girlfriend, Britt Baker, works in All Elite Wrestling and is their Women’s Champion right now.

Below are his accomplishments in NXT:

– 1x NXT Champion (longest reign at 403 days)

– 1x NXT North American Champion (inaugural champion)

– 1x NXT Tag Team Champion (Undisputed Era)

– Second NXT Triple Crown Champion

– Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic 2018 Winner (with Kyle O’Reilly)

– 7x NXT Year-End Award Winner
