Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day, involving Tony Khan, MVP and Triple H.
• During the All Out post-show media scrum, Tony Khan was asked about the recent “AEW: Shockwave” trademark for the purpose of “entertainment in the nature of wrestling contests”.
Here’s what Khan said:
“It would be safe to say that AEW is set to create a shockwave throughout all of professional wrestling.
I think people are going to be talking about what they saw at AEW All Out, which was a huge business success for us, did really, really well at the NOW Arena, big sell out show, and also really well on pay-per-view.
I think it bodes well and creates anticipation for Dynamite. We’ll continue to send that shockwave through the world of professional wrestling here at AEW.”
Fans are speculating that this trademark will either be a new PPV event or will have something to do with Shane McMahon joining All Elite Wrestling.

• MVP isn’t a fan of Triple H’s booking in WWE. During a virtual signing with K&S WrestleFest, MVP addressed the rumors of him thinking that Triple H is racist.
Here’s what the former United States Champion said:
“It made the rounds that ‘MVP said Triple H was racist’. I never said that word. I never said that. You show me the quote or the caption where I said that.
Somebody made a comment on my social media about how he books black talent. I just said, ‘Ah, you see it’. I never said he is racist. I never said that. That was never anything I said. I want to make that very clear. If you’re watching, you got that sound byte here first. I’ll go more into it on my podcast.
Now, my opinion on how he books talent of color, that’s a different conversation, but I never said the man was racist.
Hulk Hogan is racist. He said it himself, ‘I’m a little bit racist’. He said that. As far as Triple H, I don’t know that he is. I don’t know what his motivations are, but I never said he was racist.”
