• Old School AWA Legend Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 83rd birthday of Old School Wrestling Legend Larry “The Axe” Hennig.

Larry Hennig wrestled for various promotions in the 60s, 70s & 80s, such as Verne Gagne’s AWA and Vince McMahon Sr.’s WWWF.

He was the father of Old School WWF Legend “Mr. Perfect” Curt Hennig, and the grandfather of current WWE Wrestler Curtis Axel.

Larry isn’t in the WWE Hall of Fame yet, but will most likely be inducted one day as part of the annual Legacy Wing inductions.

• AEW Not Allowing Jon Moxley To Work NJPW Events In USA

IWGP United States Heavyweight Champion Jon Moxley (f.k.a Dean Ambrose in WWE) is going to be a part of the G1 tournament in New Japan Pro Wrestling, but he won’t be working any NJPW event in USA.

Dave Meltzer explained this situation on Wrestling Observer Radio:

“Jon Moxley’s deal is AEW has his rights in the United States. He’s free to work New Japan when it doesn’t conflict with AEW. He’s allowed to be in the G1, it’s fine — but not U.S. shows. AEW didn’t allow for that because that’s basically the situation, they’ve got his U.S. rights.

So he’s never been booked for Dallas. He’s never been announced for Dallas. I think there was an assumption because everyone in the G1 works every single date they work tag matches underneath on the shows they’re not on, but this is the exception to the rule because it’s the United States show.”
