Below are some top AEW news stories of the day.
• Jennifer Pepperman, AEW’s Vice President of Content and a former WWE Senior Writer & Producer, is facing allegations about her conduct during her WWE tenure.
Speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno cited a source claiming Pepperman had significant HR issues and mistreated female talent while at WWE:
“I have a source, and when she was hired, my source told me she is the worst and literally had a lot of issues with HR, and then her treatment of other girls on the roster back in WWE. All right, so that’s my take, and my sources are usually ironclad. Okay, so that’s all I’m going to say about that.”
Since joining AEW in February, Pepperman’s impact has been met with mixed reactions. Fans were initially optimistic due to her industry experience and connections, such as her friendship with Mercedes Moné. However, concerns about her role in improving AEW’s women’s division, which has faced criticism for inconsistent booking, are growing.
Eric Bischoff previously expressed confidence in Pepperman’s potential, but these allegations have cast doubt on whether she can help elevate AEW’s women’s division.

• Jim Ross has confirmed his AEW contract runs through August 2025 and expressed optimism about continuing his career.
On his Grilling JR podcast, the WWE Hall of Famer dismissed concerns about his future, saying:
“I don’t have any sense or feeling that I’m not gonna be kept. At the schedule I do, I can maintain that for years to come. And I’m not saying that in a braggadocious fashion. This is what I do. This is what I was born to do. And as long as my heart is beating, and I’m healthy — and right now I’m healthier than I’ve ever been.”
Despite past hints that this could be his final contract, Ross’ renewed confidence comes as he highlights his improved health following battles with skin cancer, Bell’s Palsy, and a recent hip replacement.
