She issued the following statement on Instagram:
“After 14 years together, Brian Cervantes and I have decided to go our separate ways in a friendly and respectful manner. Relationships sometimes change shape, but the care and respect remain.
I had the privilege of raising and adopting his son as my own, a gift I will always carry in my heart.
I’m grateful for the support I received at the beginning of my career, and I kindly ask for respect and understanding during this time of transition. Thank you for always standing by me.
Melissa Cervantes — Thunder Rosa”
Thunder Rosa also thanked everyone for being supportive as her life starts to take a new shape.
We wish Thunder Rosa and Brian all the best in the next chapter of their lives.
• Why WWE Delayed Santos Escobar’s TV Return After New Big Money Deal
Santos Escobar’s WWE contract officially expired in October, which led to speculation that he could be on his way out. Instead, the former Cruiserweight Champion ended up re-signing after WWE came back with a stronger financial offer.
Escobar was scheduled to return to RAW last month, but that return never happened.
According to a new update from Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer, WWE decided to hold off on his return because they want a proper creative direction locked in before bringing him back on television.
The report states that one of Escobar’s conditions when agreeing to his new deal was getting a personal meeting with Chief Content Officer Triple H to discuss his future. WWE now intends to come up with a clear long-term plan for him and give him a major push once he returns.
Until then, Escobar has no issue staying off the road as he is content with the big money deal he signed.
