• AEW star calls “The Nose” Triple H a “D**k”
MVP’s relationship with WWE deteriorated towards the end of his run with the company, ultimately leading to his departure in the summer of 2024. He later arrived in AEW, where he reunited with Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin to form The Hurt Syndicate.
Since leaving the company, MVP has not been shy about voicing his frustrations with WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H, frequently criticizing his leadership style and professionalism. Those comments continued during a recent interview, where MVP openly compared Triple H’s approach to creative with that of AEW President Tony Khan.
Speaking on Q101 Chicago, MVP explained that the key difference between the two lies in how much freedom and collaboration talent is given. He described Tony Khan as someone who welcomes ideas from wrestlers, while portraying Triple H as far more rigid and controlling behind the scenes.
“[Tony] allows a lot more input, and Tony has his vision that he wants, and he works with the talent and allows a lot more input from the talent into what creative path is going to happen.
Whereas ‘The Nose,’ he is a little bit more dictatorial. Emphasis on ‘dic.’ ‘This is what we’re doing and this is how it’s going to be, and this is what I want.’ Whereas Tony could say, ‘Well, this is what I want.’ And you can say, ‘Okay, Tony, but what about if we put this on it?’ Tony invites the input. Whereas with that guy, there’s only a handful of people that I would say are allowed to have that kind of input.
You could debate it good or bad, but I think Tony… I’m just going to be blunt. I think Tony is just a better human being. A better person all around than this guy. So, definitely a better person to work for, and a much better working environment.”
