Below are a couple of top AEW & WWE news stories of the day.

• Daniel Garcia faces a dilemma as his contract is set to expire this year. Garcia’s last appearance on AEW television was during the July 3rd edition of Dynamite’s special event, Beach Break, where he was attacked by MJF, writing him off TV.

The reason behind this is the uncertainty of his contract renewal with All Elite Wrestling. Reports suggest that Garcia is currently undecided between staying with AEW or joining WWE. With his contract expiring in October and no decision yet, this situation is worth monitoring.

Here’s what PWNexus reported:

“Daniel Garcia has not currently re-signed with AEW. Garcia is ‘conflicted’ about what he wants to do next whether it’s staying with AEW or entertaining the possibility of going to WWE. Something to keep an eye on as we get closer to October when his contract is set to expire.”

• Over the past year, “Hangman” Adam Page and Swerve Strickland have been engaged in a heated rivalry. Their feud kicked off in October 2023 and has featured several high-stakes matches, such as a brutal Texas Death Match at Full Gear and a triple threat match at Revolution. They also competed as adversaries in this year’s Blood & Guts match.

In the main event of All In 2024, Strickland will put the AEW World Championship on the line against Bryan Danielson in a ‘Title vs. Career’ match.

Additionally, a Casino Gauntlet Match at All In will determine the next contender for the AEW World Title. Although Page doesn’t have a confirmed match for All In, he may enter the Casino Gauntlet.

According to WrestlePurists, there are plans for Hangman to take on Strickland at the All Out 2024 PPV in Chicago on September 7. However, it is unclear whether this will be the main event or if the World Title will be at stake.
