AEW Star Wins His NJPW Debut Match

AEW is participating in the NJPW G1 Climax 34 tournament, which began today. Running from July 20 to August 18, the tournament’s block winners will face off in the finals, with the champion earning an IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match at Wrestle Kingdom in January.

Among the confirmed participants are NJPW regulars Tetsuya Naito and SANADA, along with surprises like Jake Lee from Pro Wrestling NOAH and Konosuke Takeshita from AEW/DDT.

Takeshita made a successful NJPW debut in a Block B match by defeating Yota Tsuji with a Blue Thunder Bomb and Raging Fire combination.
