Below are some top AEW & WWE news stories of the day:
– 2x WWE Hall of Famer “The Immortal” Hulk Hogan is known for making things up in interviews. He has said many things in interviews over the years which have turned out to be wrong.
He recently did a few interviews to promote his CBD line and made many false claims in it.
AEW World Champion MJF took to Twitter to mock The Hulkster recently.
After his World Championship defense against Adam Cole in the main event of All In, he claimed that the event was attended by 81 million fans, contrary to the actual number which was 81,035.
He also went on to say that the King of England knighted him after his match and added an “-MJF” tag at the end of his tweet like Hogan adds a “-HH” tag at the end of his tweets.
Below is what the AEW World Champion wrote:
“I’ll never forget the night I wrestled in front of 81 million Devil worshipers, Brother.
When I walked to the back the king of England told me I was the greatest AEW champion of all time and he knighted me on the spot.
Kangaroo kicks and Double Clotheslines. Those were the days.
-MJF”
– Brian Pillman Jr. (son of WWF/WCW Veteran Brian Pillman) left AEW last month after his 3-year deal with the company expired, and AEW President Tony Khan decided not to renew it.
Soon after that, he was spotted training at the WWE Performance Center, which began speculation that he would get signed by WWE, and there were also reports of “immediate interest” in Pillman Jr. from WWE’s side.
According to PWInsider, Pillman Jr. started with WWE NXT this week after he had a tryout last month.
It was also noted that WWE is in “no rush” to debut him on television as they want him to get used to the Performance Center system first.
