• AEW Wrestler Says He Was Promised A Spot In The Main Event Of WrestleMania 36 By Paul Heyman

AEW wrestler Miro (fka Rusev in WWE) discussed his last WWE storyline on this week’s episode of Talk Is Jericho.

The rivalry which was a love triangle between him, Bobby Lashley, and Lana was supposed to lead to Miro main eventing WrestleMania 36, at least according to former RAW Executive Director Paul Heyman, but that never happened.

Here is what Miro said about it:

“I left and I stayed home for three, four months and I think Paul Heyman called us with that story. And I was like, ‘Where is it leading?’ Of course, because this is my first question.

It’s not my favourite story but where is it leading. ‘Main event of WrestleMania. One of the main events of WrestleMania.’ When you hear that what are you gonna say? There’s plans and this is September, October, whatever it was. So, it’s a few months plan that it’s very realistic. ‘Cool’, I jumped on board.”

Rusev didn’t even appear at WrestleMania 36 and got released a few weeks after the show.
