• AEW’s Latest Signing Confirmed
Thekla has officially signed with All Elite Wrestling.
According to Fightful Select, the deal had been in the works for some time. AEW teased her arrival on Dynamite, and now it’s confirmed she will be joining the company.
Thekla had been planning a move to the United States for a while and brought in representation to help with the process. She explored her options before deciding on AEW.
WWE had shown interest in her last year while scouting international talent.
• WWE Wrestler Calls Tony Khan A “Crackhead”
A heated exchange unfolded on social media between AEW’s Ricochet and WWE NXT’s Je’Von Evans, ignited by a fan’s praise for Evans as the “best young prospect in wrestling.” Ricochet responded dismissively, stating, “I’d squash him.”
Evans, known as “The Young OG,” replied by mentioning his training under Shawn Michaels at the WWE Performance Center, something he noted Ricochet no longer does. He added, “I bet yo brown egg head a$$ would squash me if Tony (Khan) told you to.”
Ricochet countered by pointing out his own experience, saying he was learning from Shawn Michaels when Evans was 12 and has since become a multiple-time champion. He challenged Evans to “let me know when you win one, little boy,” and added, “if Tony asked me, I’d definitely beat yo ahh, cuh.”
Evans escalated the exchange by mocking Ricochet’s current position in AEW, stating, “Now, you’re wrestling in front of 2,000 people, every week, for a crackhead,” referring to AEW President Tony Khan. He also accused Ricochet of seeking attention by engaging with him.
Ricochet responded by questioning the capacity of the WWE Performance Center, implying that Evans performs in front of smaller crowds. He concluded, “keep up the energy. It makes you look cool.”
