• Alexa Bliss Calls Out Dave Meltzer For False Report On This Week’s RAW

Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer reported that 8,000 fans attended this week’s RAW, out of which 1,500 fans got up and left the arena during the Charlotte Flair – Alexa Bliss segment.

Alexa called out Meltzer for this report as this didn’t happen. Here’s what Bliss tweeted:

“Sorry Meltzer (or whatever) you can’t get clout off of our segment … move on ✌🏻 #StopLying #LiterallyDidntHappen #YoureEmbarassingYourself”

Many fans in attendance also noted that no one left, especially because the main event was a Triple Threat Match between Universal Champion Roman Reigns, Bobby Lashley and WWE Champion Big E.

• Old School Wrestling Veteran Would Have Celebrated His Birthday

Today would have been the 70th birthday of Old School Wrestling Veteran “Pretty Boy” Doug Somers (Real name: Douglas Somerson).

Most Old School Fans remember Doug Somers from his AWA days, where he formed a Tag Team with “Playboy” Buddy Rose.

Their feud with the Midnight Rockers (Marty Jannetty & Shawn Michaels) is legendary and they had some of the best matches in the long and illustrious history of Verne Gagne’s AWA American Wrestling Association territory.

In 1991, he had a brief stint in WCW as “Doug Summers”, where he lost to Van Hammer at the annual Halloween Havoc PPV.

Doug jumped ship the following year in 1992, when he worked for the World Wrestling Federation as an enhancement talent, putting over WWF Superstars like Bret Hart, Tatanka, Jim Duggan, El Matador, Owen Hart & The Big Boss Man.
