Bliss, who last competed at Royal Rumble 2023 in a match against Bianca Belair, has had a transformative time away from WWE. During her hiatus, she navigated personal health challenges and embraced motherhood, marking a significant chapter in her life.

In addition to her WWE return plans, Bliss has ventured into voice acting, taking on a role in Netflix’s new anime series, Sakamoto Days, premiering January 11.

She voices Obiguro, a character in the action-comedy series about an ex-hitman turned shopkeeper balancing family life and high-stakes chaos. The show will release new episodes every Saturday, providing fans of both wrestling and anime an exciting crossover to enjoy.

• Former AEW star Penta made his much-anticipated WWE debut on this week’s episode of RAW, defeating Chad Gable in a match that capped weeks of teasers and hype. WWE had strongly hinted at Penta’s debut beforehand, even releasing his merchandise before the event, which reportedly happened by coincidence.

According to Fightful Select, Penta’s WWE contract was finalized weeks ago, following the expiration of his AEW deal on December 1, 2024. Initial plans reportedly involved Penta teaming with Rey Mysterio to face The New Day, but the storyline was altered prior to his debut.

His promo during the post-match segment ran longer than planned. While this led to speculation about possible fallout, there seemed to be no backstage heat on Penta. A WWE higher-up reportedly stated that if there were any issues, the blame should fall on whoever insisted on the show’s tight runtime despite being on Netflix.

Penta was present backstage throughout the day at RAW and was not kept hidden, an unusual approach for a surprise debut. The roster was said to be supportive of Penta, with no significant criticism stemming from his segment’s timing.

WWE continues to aim for a roughly two-and-a-half-hour live show for RAW episodes, ensuring smoother pacing for both the live audience and streaming platform.
