• All-Women’s SmackDown Could Take Place Later This Year

WWE will have their second Saudi Arabia pay-per-view of this year on November 1, 2019.

November 1st is a Friday, so that means an episode of SmackDown Live will air on FOX just a few hours after the Saudi Arabia PPV.

This means that WWE could face booking the SmackDown show as most of their male wrestlers will be in Saudi Arabia for the PPV.

However, WWE might have a plan for it – an all-women’s SmackDown.

To prevent being criticized for only the male wrestlers competing at Saudi Arabia PPVs, WWE did an all-women’s PPV last year – WWE Evolution.

According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE could be doing the same thing this year as well, but as an episode of SmackDown (not PPV):

“One way they could manage is promote the Friday show in Newark as an all-women’s SmackDown show. That would at least take the place of the Evolution PPV that for whatever reason isn’t on the schedule this year.

They could heavily promote it as an all-women’s SmackDown, the first time ever and could use that to offset the obvious criticism of them running if Saudi Arabia doesn’t allow the women to come.”
