Amazing News About Tonight’s Huge WWE Show

John Cena Vs Gunther WALTER 1 SNME Saturday Night's Main Event 2025 WrestleFeed App

The final match of John Cena’s legendary career has made his last event a massive success, as WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event is now completely sold out. The company has distributed every available ticket for tonight’s show at the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.

WrestleTix confirmed the sellout just hours before the event’s start time, with a total of 19,176 tickets distributed for the match against GUNTHER.

The numbers for this show are much higher than WWE’s average attendance for 2025, which sits at about 11,259 tickets. Tonight’s final count beats that average by nearly 8,000 seats.

In fact, WWE used almost all of the available space in the arena, with 19,300 seats marked on the map. The popularity of the event also drove up ticket prices.

For those who did not buy tickets early, there are only a few hundred seats left on the resale market. Cena’s last match has proven that fans will pay top dollar to see the end of his time in the ring.

John Cena’s Father Issues Statement On His Son’s Retirement

John Cena’s retirement tour ends tonight at Saturday Night’s Main Event, where he will battle GUNTHER. Cena’s father wrote the following:

“Say it ain’t so Joe. It is so, 12/13 Washington, Dc the Last Time is Now. SNME it’s the last time we can see him. My son’s final match with the WWE. 20 plus years comes to an end. Thanks for the memories and all that you have done for everyone. So proud my son. Your time is now.”

John Cena’s father recently stirred debate when he weighed in on who his son’s final opponent should be. He said that GUNTHER wouldn’t be a wise choice as The Ring General doesn’t need the rub.

He also questioned the idea of passing the torch on the way out, noting that Cena had already done so with Cody Rhodes by defeating him for the Undisputed WWE Championship at WrestleMania 41 and later dropping the title back to The American Nightmare at SummerSlam.

He went on to suggest other potential opponents for The GOAT’s final match, naming Kurt Angle as his top choice, followed by Edge (Adam Copeland), Chris Jericho and even a wildcard pick of JBL.

Appearing on the Joe Rogan Experience, Cena addressed his father’s comments and said that he can say some messed up stuff at times.

“There’s some sh*t he’ll say that’s all f**ked up. He said some sh*t yesterday that like, ‘I don’t think John’s last opponent should be…’ and people listen to him because he’s a wrestling fan – and I want to call my dad and be like, ‘What the f**k are you doing?’

But he’s doing what he does. This is him. This is the John Cena I love.”
