WWE announced the following:
AJ Styles takes on Aiden English
“Two weeks ago, WWE Champion AJ Styles found out he’d be defending his title against Rusev at WWE Extreme Rules after The Bulgarian Brute won a grueling Gauntlet Match. The Phenomenal One sent a message to his challenger by decking Aiden English when The Maestro of Mayhem went for a handshake before pulling his hand back.
Tonight on SmackDown LIVE, English will be out to soften up the WWE Champion for The Lion of Bulgaria at WWE Extreme Rules. Will he succeed, or will Styles show Rusev what lies ahead for him?”

• Another Confirmation Regarding Two Rumored Hell In A Cell 2018 Matches
As we noted last week, while promoting WWE’s return to San Antonio for Hell In A Cell 2018 PPV, ABC KSAT 12 revealed two big matches for this event. Below are those two matches:
– Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens
– WWE Championship Match: AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe
Below is the announcement:
“One of the biggest events in World Wrestling Entertainment is headed to San Antonio.
WWE’s ‘Hell In A Cell’ will be held Sept. 16 at the AT&T Center.
Wrestlers compete inside a 20-foot-high roofed cage that surrounds the ring and ringside area.
Fans will get to see Roman Reigns take on Kevin Owens, and WWE Champion AJ Styles versus Samoa Joe for the WWE Championship.”
While these early advertisements are subject to change, AJ Styles vs. Samoa Joe for the WWE Title could very well take place at this event as this match is also planned for SummerSlam 2018 PPV and these two men could have a rematch at the Hell In A Cell 2018 PPV, which is the next PPV after SummerSlam.
