As we noted yesterday, the No Holds Barred podcast revealed Cyndi Lauper is scheduled to be inducted into the WWE Hall Of Fame Class Of 2019 as a part of the Celebrity wing.

Music Legend Cyndi Lauper played a significant role in the 1984-1986 WWF/MTV “Rock ‘n’ Wrestling Connection”, which was a very important part of the Golden Era.

Not only did Cyndi appear on WWF TV many times, especially alongside “Captain” Lou Albano, “The Incredible” Hulk Hogan and of course her manager and boyfriend Dave Wolff, but most importantly she will be remembered by millions of Old School World Wrestling Federation fans for managing Wendi Richter at the first ever WrestleMania in 1985, leading her to a WWF Women’s Championship win.

Wendi Richter did use Lauper’s “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” as her entrance theme song, a song that featured Lou Albano in the official video that aired on MTV at that time.

A later song of her, called “The Goonies ‘R’ Good Enough” also featured plenty of WWF Superstars, such as The Iron Sheik, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Nikolai Volkoff & André The Giant.

Most fans have said for years, that she is among the most deserving people, who should be inducted into the ‘Celebrity Wing’ of the WWE Hall of Fame, which is now exactly what’s going to happen.
