On this day in Pro Wrestling history on July 12, 1998, Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling aired ‘WCW Bash at the Beach 1998’ LIVE on PPV from the Cox Arena in San Diego, California.

This was the 5th out of 7 annual Bash at the Beach pay-per-views the WCW aired from 1994 to 2000.

• Another NXT Wrestler Called Up To The WWE Main Roster

WWE has reportedly called up several NXT wrestlers to the main roster over the past couple of months, but they haven’t used them on TV.

Chelsea Green and Dominik Dijakovic have been rumored to appear on RAW/SmackDown for a while, but they haven’t been featured on NXT or the main roster as of late.

Fightful is reporting that another wrestler in the waiting list to work a main roster show is Vanessa Bourne. She has been waiting for a long while as she got the call up at the start of the year, but she hasn’t been used yet.

“Borne was actually called up as far back as January or February, which explains why she hasn’t appeared on NXT at all since then. However, she’s still not made her main roster debut.”

It’s likely that creative has no plans for her like many other wrestlers.
