• Another Opponent For Roman Reigns During World Title Reign Revealed

Roman Reigns captured the World Heavyweight Championship in the main event of WrestleMania 42. His first title defense will be against Jacob Fatu at Backlash on May 9th.

As we previously reported, Gunther and Oba Femi are expected to face The OTC during this World Title reign. In an update from SelfMadePW, Bronson Reed is also scheduled to be one of Roman’s opponents in this title run.

Roman and Bronson are 1-1 against each other. Reigns defeated Reed at Clash In Paris, but The Auszilla ended up picking a huge win over The Tribal Chief in an Australian Street Fight at Crown Jewel 2025.

Bronson is currently out of action with a torn biceps injury.

• MFTs Member Suffers Injury

Talla Tonga of The MFTs last wrestled on the April 17 episode of SmackDown, where he failed to win the 2026 Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal. He was the last man eliminated from the match by the winner, Royce Keys.

He was notably absent from the SmackDown after WrestleMania 42, with the reason now being revealed as an injury.

According to Bryan Alvarez of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Tonga is currently sidelined with an undisclosed issue, although it is not expected to keep him out of action for long.

Adam Copeland (Edge) and Christian Cage will have their first ever match as a tag team on AEW Dynamite on tonight’s episode. All Elite Wrestling announced the following card:

– TNT Championship Match: Kevin Knight (c) vs. MJF

– AEW International Championship Match: Kazuchika Okada (c) vs. Ace Austin

– AEW Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: Divine Dominion (Megan Bayne and Lena Kross) (c) vs. Kris Statlander and Hikaru Shida

– The Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor) will be in action

– Rush will be in action

– Adam Copeland and Christian Cage vs. RPG Vice (Trent Beretta and Rocky Romero)
