• Another Possible Sign That Chris Jericho Is Done With AEW
Chris Jericho’s contract with All Elite Wrestling is set to expire in two months. The former World Heavyweight Champion is said to be eyeing a WWE return in 2026 for a possible retirement tour and Hall of Fame induction.
Over the past few months, there have been several indications that Jericho could be preparing to move on from AEW. Earlier this year, he admitted that he’d be open to returning to WWE someday. Moreover, his 2026 cruise isn’t advertising any AEW talent or matches, which is a major change compared to previous years.
The latest sign came earlier this month when Jericho’s trademark filing for “The Jericho Vortex” was officially ruled as dead and abandoned by the United States Patent and Trademark Office. The trademark was initially filed in April 2024, but was abandoned due to a “failure to file timely SOU or extension request.”
The term “Jericho Vortex” became popular among fans frustrated with his AEW storylines, as many believed that wrestlers who feuded with him often ended up stuck in long, drawn-out rivalries that didn’t elevate them.
Y2J had seemingly embraced the idea, planning to make it part of his on-screen persona and claim that working with him helped wrestlers reach new levels.
Chris Jericho hasn’t appeared in AEW since April. Tony Khan has stated on a few occasions that he’d love to have the 54-year-old back.
• Current Favorite To Face Brock Lesnar At WrestleMania 42
Brock Lesnar missed WrestleMania 40 & 41 due to being mentioned in the Vince McMahon – Janel Grant lawsuit. His last WrestleMania was WrestleMania 39 aka WrestleMania Hollywood in 2023, where he defeated Omos in the opening match of Night 2.
The Beast will return to the Grandest Stage of them All after 3 years, as WWE is advertising him for WrestleMania 42.
In September, Bodyslam reported that WWE has been discussing the possibility of a future match between Bron Breakker and Brock Lesnar, with one source suggesting it could potentially happen at WrestleMania 42 in April 2026.
In an update on this situation, Gunther is the betting favorite to face Lesnar at WrestleMania 42, according to MyBookie.
According to Fightful Select, Brock Lesnar vs. Gunther was the original plan for WrestleMania 40 in 2024, before WWE was forced to pull Lesnar from their plans.
Lesnar vs. Gunther was first teased during the 2023 Men’s Royal Rumble match.
• Reason Behind Triple H Being Featured On WrestleMania 42 Poster Despite Being Retired
WWE dropped a series of cryptic teasers over the past few days, leaving fans speculating about their meaning. It was later revealed that they were part of a promotional campaign for WrestleMania 42, which is set to take place in Las Vegas next April. The video featured Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes, Roman Reigns, Brock Lesnar, CM Punk, Paul Heyman and WWE Chief Content Officer Triple H.
As part of the campaign, WWE also released a promotional poster showing the same lineup sitting around a poker table in a casino setting, a nod to the Las Vegas theme. Reigns, Rhodes, Lesnar and Punk were seated with poker chips in hand, while Triple H and Heyman stand behind them, overseeing the scene.

The inclusion of Triple H, who retired from pro wrestling in 2022, caught the attention of many fans online. Some questioned why The Game was featured on the poster despite working in a backstage role now.
Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer explained that Triple H is essentially the “Dana White of WWE.” He noted that this is the role TKO wants him to portray publicly and added that if UFC released a similar promotional photo, Dana White would be positioned the same way.
• “Take his voice away” – Hall Of Famer On How WWE Can Start LA Knight’s Comeback
LA Knight has become one of the most popular stars in WWE over the last couple of years. While many fans believe he deserves a World Championship run, WWE’s booking of him hasn’t always been consistent.
Speaking on Busted Open Radio, WWE Hall of Famer Bubba Ray Dudley pitched a bold idea to elevate LA Knight. He suggested a storyline where Knight loses his voice after a brutal attack, stays silent for weeks and relies on the crowd to speak for him, setting up a huge comeback moment when he finally talks again.
“You know what LA Knight needs? A blood feud. Take his voice away. Put the steel chair on his neck and take another steel chair and smack it into the legs of that steel chair and drive the lip of the chair into his larynx, crushing his larynx, so he can’t talk anymore.
Until the time is right for somebody to make fun of him and go, ‘You can’t even talk, you can’t even talk, all you’ve got is the people talking for you, here watch,’ and then the people go, ‘L… A… Knight…’ and out of nowhere, LA Knight goes, ‘Yeah.’ And he talks for the first time again.
The people would blow up. LA Knight starts his comeback, and you’ve made a guy because we feel sympathetic for him, because he overcame adversity and got his voice back.”
The Mega Star lost to Bron Breakker on the latest episode of RAW and has only scored one pinfall victory since July.
Fans have grown frustrated with WWE’s booking of him, particularly after the company chose Jey Uso, who already held gold earlier this year, to face CM Punk for the vacant World Heavyweight Championship at Saturday Night’s Main Event.
