• On This Day In Pro Wrestling History (June 18, 2018) – Old School Wrestling Legend Passed Away
On this day in 2018, we lost Old School WCW/WWF Legend Big Van Vader (Real name: Leon White) at the age of 63 due to heart failure after pneumonia.
Big Van Vader was most famous for his time in Ted Turner’s World Championship Wrestling between 1990 & 1995 and for his run in the World Wrestling Federation from 1996 till 1998.
He also wrestled for various other promotions such as New Japan Pro Wrestling, American Wrestling Association, Catch Wrestling Association, All Japan Pro Wrestling, Total Nonstop Action! and Pro Wrestling Noah.
Him being inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame is only a matter of “when” and not “if”, but unfortunately WWE failed to induct Vader while he was still alive.

• Another Released WWE Wrestler Could Be Joining IMPACT Wrestling
Former NXT wrestler Taynara Conti was released by WWE in April during the budget cuts. She wanted out of the company from the start of the year due to financial disagreements.
After Conti’s exchange with a few IMPACT Wrestling stars on Twitter, speculation has begun about her possibly signing with the company.
Madison Rayne was involved in a conversation with Gail Kim about the Knockouts Title, during which Conti’s name came up.

Recently released WWE wrestler Deonna Purrazzo, who returned to IMPACT last month, hinted forming a team with Conti in IMPACT as both of them were released together.
Conti didn’t deny the offer and replied the following:
Hahahahahahahaha deal !!! #happiestteam https://t.co/TN3N92bxqs

Conti and IMPACT Wrestling Executive Vice President Scott D’Amore have begun following each on Twitter, which could be a hint that Conti is in talks with the company.
She is free to sign anywhere now, as her no-compete clause is up.
