Below are a couple of top AEW news stories of the day:

– Sammy Guevara was originally scheduled to team up with Konosuke Takeshita to take on Chris Jericho & Kenny Omega on this week’s 4-year anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite.

However, Guevara was pulled from this match and replaced with Kyle Fletcher of Aussie Open.

According to the Wrestling Observer, Guevara was pulled from this match because he suffered a concussion at the WrestleDream PPV, where he teamed up with Takeshita & Will Ospreay to defeat Jericho, Omega & Kota Ibushi (Guevara pinned Jericho after Don Callis attacked Jericho).

There was another injury at WrestleDream, as Aussie Open’s Mark Davis broke his wrist during the AEW World Tag Team Championship match against FTR.

– During an interview with WrestlePurists, AEW World Champion & ROH Tag Team Champion MJF talked about the current All Elite Wrestling roster and called it the strongest roster ever to exist in the history of professional wrestling:

“I feel like we have the strongest bell-to-bell roster probably in the history of the sport, and I don’t feel like that’s hyperbole at all. Me, Bryan Danielson, Jon Moxley, Adam Cole, Roderick Strong — f**king piece of sh*t, Brody King, RUSH, Ricky Starks, Will Hobbs, Samoa Joe, Miro, Malakai Black. It’s an embarrassment of riches, bro. I could go on and on until my face turns blue.”

MJF went on about this during the WrestleDream post-show media scrum as well, where he added “Edge” Adam Copeland to this list.
